"Voglauer Gorge" - Lammer

The motto for this stretch of river, which we cover twice, is "short and fierce". Straight after the start we´re in the narrow, wild ravine of Voglau with its challenging white water down to where the river meets the Aubach. Then it´s on through stretches of rushing water to the big "Spinning drum" till we reach calmer waters near the Etz Bridge just before the so-called Lammer Ovens.

The Lammer is a mountain stream and enjoys its best water levels from May to the middle of June.
At other times the water level is dependent on rainfall.
Degree of difficulty: WW 3-4.
