| Rafting tours on the Salzach usually take place between 1 - 30 June. Other times are available on request. The tour takes us from Imlau to Bischofshofen through the imposing Tennen mountain range (with its huge ice caves) and the Hagen mountains and past the mediaeval fortress of Hohenwerfen. Beyond the fortress await the waves of the Werfen Squall, beautiful sandbanks near Tenneck and stretches of rough water before the tour ends in Stegenwald just before the famous Salzach Oven. This stretch of the Salzach is ideal for beginners and family rafting. Degree of difficulty: WW 2-3. |
